Rainfresh Water Treatment

In September 2014, northern India’s Kashmir region witnessed torrential rainfall, resulting in widespread floods that heavily affected over 2,600 villages and completely submerged 390 villages, killing many people and rendering hundreds of thousands homeless.

Many flood survivors lost their homes, livestock, crops, clothing, businesses – everything. Facing a lack of disaster infrastructure, hundreds of families were in dire need of shelter, food, and safe drinking water.

GlobalMedic’s team took our portable AquaResponse3 unit that delivers clean and safe drinking water from virtually any water source. Running off a motorcycle or car battery, the unit provided safe water to thousands of residents at a rate of 10 litres per minute.
