Rainfresh Hydronic Heating water filter removes suspended solids from hot water, glycol and other closed loop systems. This keeps the system clean and minimizes wear on seals and valves, and protects piping from sediment corrosion.
A hydronic heating system uses hot water as the method for heating a building. Water is heated by a boiler (or water heater) and circulated through a series of pipes to baseboard convectors or radiators located in various parts of the building. As it circulates, it gives off heat to the building and the cold water is collected back in the boiler. Over a period of time, the water collects dirt, corrosion and other materials, which need to be filtered out for efficient working of the system.
Rainfresh hydronic heating water filter features an all stainless steel filter housing with a mounting bracket. The housing is rated for a max pressure of 300 psi and a water temperature of 80 deg C. It also features a corrosion resistant brass sight flow indicator that indicates water flow through the hydronic heating water filter. The hydronic heating water filter also features 3/4″ female NPT ports and stainless steel inlet and outlet valves to make cartridge change a breeze.
The Rainfresh hydronic heating water filter can be used with Rainfresh SWH series hot water filter cartridges of any micron rating. These hot water cartridges come with a stainless steel core.
Rainfresh hydronic heating water filter comes in two models
- HWF10SB – Includes sight flow indicator and inlet/outlet ball valves
- HWF10 – housing and cartridge only
