INSTALLATION

What does “External” Fridge Filter mean?

Fridge filters that are installed on the 1/4″ water pipe that supplies water to the fridge are called “external” fridge filters. They do not install inside the fridge in place of the original fridge filter, but are installed on the outside.

What is the advantage to this filter over my OEM fridge filter?

The TWIST external fridge filter has the following advantages:

Where should I install in on the water pipe?

The external fridge filter can be installed anywhere on the 1/4″ water pipe that supplies water to the fridge. It can be in the basement, on the side or even behind the fridge if it is easily accesible.

Is this filter as good as my original fridge filter?

The performance of this filter exceeds most fridge filters. This high performance filter reduces over 50 different types of chemicals including industrial pollutants, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic compounds, lead, parasitic cysts, chlorine, taste and odour.

Is it easy to replace the filter?

It is extremely easy to replace the filter. Simply grab the filter and twist it to remove. The filter has a built-in automatic shut-off valve that turns the water off as soon as you remove the cartridge. To install a new cartridge, simply hold in position and twist into place. This can be done in seconds by hand.
